Our new crop of amazing homes will surprise and delight even the most devoted tour goers!
Tourists will once again be treated to a stylish medley of residences representing a wide range of
design sensibilities as well as a few truly unique spaces. If you'd like to nominate a home for
consideration for future tours, please call the NJFO office at 908-232-9400.
The tour reflects the area's rich architectural history, as well as showcasing some of the hottest
new properties in the Westfield area. This year we present four spectacular north-side residences:
a gracious19th-century home with wrap around front verandah and magnificent architectural details;
a stunning new construction Mediterranean-style villa in Indian Forest, an remarkable
Highland Avenue Colonial demonstrating an intriguing use of color throughout, and a professionally
re-imagined Wychwood address with unique elements inside and out.
The tour also features live music provided by gifted musicians from the Junior Musical club in Westfield.
One home will also feature live musical interludes showcasing the talents of Sebastian and Tristan Wroe,
teenage sons of NJFO Music Director David Wroe.
A luxury basket raffle, door prizes and local vendor tastings will further complement the tour.
Additionally, two electric Tesla performance vehicles will be on display - the brand new Model X crossover
and the Model S sedan, together with a ticketed raffle "Win a Tesla for the Day" with the drawing to take
place at close of tour. Winner need not be present to win.
"The Home Tour is a key element of the funding mix that's necessary to operate the orchestra,"
according to David Wroe, Music Director of the New Jersey Festival Orchestra. "Supplemental fund raising is critical
because only about a third of our revenue comes from the sale of tickets. Income from the Home Tour will
also support our critical educational outreach and music therapy programs."
The tour is self-guided and takes two to three hours. Homes can be seen at any time during the tour hours,
10 am to 3 pm.
Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 day of tour.
The addresses of the homes are printed on the tickets and homes can be visited in any order.
At your first home you'll pick up a copy of tour program containing descriptions of the homes and an
easy-to-follow tour map to each address. Make this a full Mother's Day celebration and take in a lunch or
brunch along the way!
All proceeds will benefit the New Jersey Festival Orchestra.
